This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Transportation Program as well as for providing daily support and backup to the Meals on Wheels (MOW) Program. The program provides rides to eligible seniors and persons with disabilities to medical appointments, van shopping, social, health & wellness activities as well as supporting programs such as the Adult Day Program and Home at Last. Reports to the Program Manager.

We at the Childrenʼs Aid Society of Toronto invite our community members across the Greater Toronto Area tobecome Volunteer Drivers to support children, youth and families who receive our services. You’ll play an integral role in ensuring children and youth, from infants to teenagers, are transported safely to and from family visits, Foster Care homes and residences, appointments and more.
Volunteers pick up local seniors and drive them to and from Wellness Program. Assist with the facilitation of social, recreational activities, serving and cleaning up lunch.
Adult that holds a full & clean driving license and is available either on a Tuesday or Friday night for one hour (7pm – 8pm only). To use your own vehicle and drive to a nearby bakery on Queen Street. The individual empties the shelves in the bakery of all the bread into large bread bins. After the bakery is emptied of bread you then load the bins into your vehicle and deliver it to the Salvation Army on Jarvis street
We work with various organizations in the city to pick-up essential items for the families at Discovery House. We also share our donations with other organizations to prevent waste. In some cases we have no other option but to drop-off items to the landfill.
SPRINT Senior Care is looking for passionate volunteer to support the Meals on Wheels program in Midtown Toronto. Available shifts are on Wednesday or Thursday from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Three months commitment is required.
