Discovery House

This role supports community building for families at discovery house. The volunteer provides support for community cooking Friday’s which may include washing, chopping, prepping produce to be used in a recipe. Cleaning up before and after the cooking session. This role supports a new program at discovery house and the role will evolve as needed.

Get involved in the everyday practical work of Discovery House that are behind the scenes. These tasks make the organization go round, they are not glamorous but the impact is huge if not done.

We work with various organizations in the city to pick-up essential items for the families at Discovery House. We also share our donations with other organizations to prevent waste. In some cases we have no other option but to drop-off items to the landfill.
