Volunteer Centres

Volunteer Centres and Bureaux refer volunteers to community opportunities of their choice, based upon volunteer needs listed with the Centres by member agencies in each community served. Many also provide training, development and other services to nonprofit organizations, as well as specialized publications for the voluntary sector.

Peace Welcome Club (Local: Georgetown, ON)

Founded by 14-year-old Harnoor Gill, Peace Welcome Club encourages children, especially newcomer youth to Canada, to volunteer. Their mission is to convey the message that age is not a barrier to volunteer and together, we can make a difference!

Starfish Ventures (International)

Starfish is a growing volunteer and gap year organization providing volunteer projects in the areas of health, childcare, wildlife conservation, community development, and teaching.

Timeraiser (National: Toronto, ON)

The Timeraiser is part volunteer fair, part silent art auction and part night on the town. Throughout the evening participants meet with different volunteer-based agencies and have the opportunity to make volunteer pledges and bid on artwork.

We are a nonprofit organization which promotes volunteerism by connecting people with opportunities to serve in the St. Lawrence- Rideau region. We provide leadership and build capacity with volunteer programs in our communities and celebrate volunteers.
