Grand River Council on Aging (GRCOA) (Local: Branford, ON)
The Grand River Council on Aging (GRCOA) is a planning and research body focusing on older adults/seniors and the development of an age-friendly community. They conduct research and facilitate partnerships and collaborations. Their community was the first in Ontario to publish a Master Aging Plan (MAP) which contains 99 recommendations for improvements/enhancements/developments of importance to seniors. The report was put together by seniors with senior involvement. The GRCOA was incorporated in 2010.
