There are over 8,000 people in Toronto without a safe stable place to live. Hundreds live “rough” in ravines, stairwells or on the street. Hundreds more suffer with mental health and addictions issues. This forgotten slice of our population, people who have been street-involved for several years and who have nowhere else to go, is where Homes First comes in. We provide Housing First. We were the first and remain one of the largest providers of homes for people with the fewest options in Toronto.

Site Manager at 5800 B
This role accomplishes Homes First Society objectives by managing day to day operations within the shelter programs. Maintains community partnerships and oversees client services to ensure high quality supports and programming. In addition, this role will adhere to the mission statement, policies, and procedures at Homes First Society.
Human Resources Administrator – Relief Support
The HR Administrator supports HR programs and strategies by providing administrative support in all areas with a focus on relief training, and scheduling while ensuring adherence to the mission statement, policies and procedures of Homes First.
Payroll Supervisor
We are currently seeking a Payroll Supervisor to maintain the payroll and benefits function within the Finance Department. The Payroll Supervisor will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, reporting and remitting functions in adherence to legislation, collective agreement, policies, and procedures of Homes First Society. They will also administer the group benefits and pension plan to maintain timely enrolments, updates, deductions, and remittances.
Intensive Case Management Worker – Health Navigation at Delta Hotel Program
This position supports the onsite health teams and connects residents to clinicians onsite and in the community to help residents benefit from medical care, while adhering to the mission statement and policies and procedures of Homes First Society.
Intensive Case Management Worker – Health Navigation at 22 Metropolitan Rd
This position supports the onsite health teams and connects residents to clinicians onsite and in the community to help residents benefit from medical care, while adhering to the mission statement and policies and procedures of Homes First Society.
Meditation & Low Impact Yoga Instructor
We are looking for yoga instructors to teach meditation and low impact yoga classes, once a week to our residents. The classes will have an emphasis on relieving stress and anxiety and learning how to self-calm and/or meditate.
Afternoon Shift Supervisor – 24-Hour Housing Programs
We are currently seeking Shift Supervisors to work at two housing programs - our housing program at 224 Spadina for two afternoons a week and a second housing program to be determined (located downtown) two afternoons a week. The successful candidate will start at 224 Spadina and work there full-time until the second site opens.
Supervisor of Pest Control and Hoarding
The Supervisor of Pest Control & Hoarding will be overseeing the Pest Control and Hoarding Specialist staff to minimize and eliminate bed bug/pest infestations and hoarding issues within all properties and keep current on technologies and procedures. The successful candidate will also ensure adherence to the mission statement, policies, and procedures of Homes First Society.
Part Time Permanent Cooks
Job Purpose: prepare and deliver nutritious meals to culturally diverse residents and implement the nutrition and food preparation program to residents.
Shelter Supervisors (multi-site)
We are looking for Shelter Supervisors for our sites. The shifts may include overnight, evenings and weekends.
