Volunteer Schedule
Every Tuesday from 4 pm to 8 pm in office
Position Description
Volunteers will support WWF-Canada’s Climb for Nature event by getting in touch with past participants, and preparing for the event day. Specifically, volunteers will be:
- Calling past climbers to encourage them to register for the 2024 climb.
Note: There is never any cold calling or sales involved. - Calling $0 fundraisers to provide fundraising tips and support.
- Calling partially registered people and reminding them to complete their registration.
- Preparing CN Tower artwork packages for schools.
- Preparing fundraising kits.
- Putting up climb posters around the city.
- Prepping time chip envelopes.
- Prepping team captain boxes.
- Labelling boxes/racks for movers.
- Creating and mailing 3rd party thank you kits.
- Researching and consolidating community outreach list for event recruitment + deploying community outreach email communications.
What We're Looking For
- Must be comfortable speaking on the phone with donors.
- Past customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to commit to volunteering in person 1 day a week in the Toronto office (Tuesdays from 4 pm to 8 pm).
- Comfortable performing tasks involving manual dexterity (i.e. assembling packages for event participants, hanging up posters, etc.).
- Identify & align with WWF’s core values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.
