The HR Administrator supports HR programs and strategies by providing administrative support in all areas with a focus on relief training, and scheduling while ensuring adherence to the mission statement, policies and procedures of Homes First.

Job Description:

  • Assisting in the administration of all human resource systems & programs with a focus on Relief Staff training and scheduling.
  • Participate on interview panels
  • Maintenance and coordination of Shiftlink system, including updating seniority administration and ensure staff account accuracy
  • Coordinating SMIS training, including submitting access documentation, updating SMIS waitlist forms, deactivating accounts as necessary and answering all SMIS related inquires.
  • Tracking shift absences and following up as appropriate to parties
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Creating and updating forms
  • Creating and updating policies and procedures
  • Provide back up for other team members when away to support in all areas of HR
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work independently and in inter-dependent teams
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience in human resources or administration an asset
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Working in an environment where there may be smoke is required.
