National Manager, Annual Giving
Are you innovative, collaborative, and have a knack for creating engaging campaigns? We’re looking to hire a new team member to fill the role National Manager, Annual Giving to manage our growing annual giving program. In this role, you will take a leadership role in growing JDRF’s annual giving programs, which includes one-time gifts, monthly giving, and mid-level giving ($1000-$4,999) by testing direct marketing channels and leveraging JDRF’s strong digital footprint. We're looking for a direct response fundraiser that can conceive, create and implement engaging annual campaigns as well as provide ongoing stewardship to annual donors. The incumbent is responsible for program development and analysis and expansion of direct marketing and new media as related to annual giving engagement strategies.

- Leading and implementing an annual giving plan for growing Annual Giving campaigns including but not limited to: one-time, mid-level and monthly gifts, leveraging existing strong digital channels by creating the donor journey and engagement plan for each campaign;
- Leading the growth of JDRF’s mid-level giving program, Beyond Insulin;
- Supervising and evaluating various fundraising channels (digital marketing, direct mail, telemarketing) to ensure the achievement of objectives, in addition to recommending changes as needed;
- Collaborating with regional teams to drive annual giving regionally;
- Developing a segmentation plan to target and solicit annual gifts, collaborating with the Marketing Communications team to execute smooth and successful campaigns;
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting on annual giving campaigns providing insights to optimize giving;
- Managing a high-touch stewardship program in collaboration with the Stewardship Officer, for annual giving, acting as the point of contact for monthly donors;
- Collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to strategize on integrating annual giving into existing activities, content, website and social media channels;
- Managing the annual donor processes for renewals, lapsed reactivations and acquisition campaigns, as well as identifying prospects to move through the pipeline;
- Managing the channels in which new annual donors are acquired, ensuring all channels are optimized for the best donor experience and operational efficiency;
- Identifying challenges that may impact achievement of fiscal targets through regular tracking and reporting of budgets and key performance indicators against goals;
- Assisting with the development of compelling annual giving campaigns including but not limited to National Diabetes Awareness Month, Giving Tuesday, Year End and evergreen campaigns;
- Leading team members through one-on-one supervision and overall team management

- 5-7 years of progressive experience in managing and growing high-performing fundraising programs, including 2-3 years of experience in annual giving and university degree and study in a relevant field e.g. Fundraising, Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in managing, coaching and developing team members
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, creative problem-solving and planning combined with exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Expertise in reporting with a commitment to continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate online data, insights, trends and best practices
- Bilingual in French and English
Salary Range: The starting salary is anticipated to be $75,000-$85,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
Location: Flexible within Canada.
