Our mission is to relieve poverty and provide opportunities for and access to education in Haiti. Our vision is a country where access to education is free, and children pursue opportunities for higher learning.
About Us
We operate a school in Montrouis, Haiti a small fishing village 90 minutes north of Port au Prince. We educate up to 300 students each school year from Preschool to Grade 9, serve 65,000 daily lunches and employ over 25 Haitian staff.
With 55% of the Haitian population under the age of 24, and 40% of the population unemployed, we believe education is key to eliminating devastating poverty and school feeding programs are a vehicle to ending malnutrition in children and families. We are dedicated to sustainable, long-lasting change.
We are a registered Canadian charity, incorporated in British Columbia. To learn more about how your gifts makes an impact and our three pillar programs - Launch A Learner, Meals for Minds, and WaSH - visit our website: www.haitiinmyheart.ca.
