Summary: Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre (BBNC) is a charitable, multi-service neighbourhood centre that offers a broad range of recreational, social and capacity-building programs to the southwest Scarborough community. Description of Role: Support BBNC the social program for Older Adults by sharing your experience as a sewer and assisting community members in making dresses. This will provide diversity and a sense of community to the program. We encourage you to join us in creating memories for our members.
Duties:
- Engage with members sharing your skill, hobby or talent through interactive workshops, demonstrations, or presentations.
- Inspire the community to explore their interests and create conversation
- Foster connections and friendships within our community.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with older adults
- Clear communication skills and ability to creatively engage a group in an interactive way
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and support the team
