AICC Canada is seeking an experienced member-focused and strategic Executive Administrator. Based from a home office in the GTA or surrounding area, the successful candidate will carry out the associations objectives and work collaboratively with the board, committees and industry partners to facilitate the success of the association.
Executive Administrator – Position Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Board with development and execution of strategic objectives in support of the association’s vision and overarching strategic plan.
- Planning and execution of key member events; assessment of these events and exploration of new event opportunities.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of association events, including but not limited to, the organizing of resources, marketing and communications, programming, and budgets in an effort to be efficient and maximize both revenue and exposure for the association.
- Providing leadership and oversight of AICC Canada’s relationships with other industry bodies, allied organizations, charities and all levels of government.
- Organize and attend Board meetings, minute taking, ready and transfer financial information to bookkeeping services for monthly reporting and yearly audits, preparing mailings, coordinating surveys, tracking and tabulating memberships and member data, management of website and social media content, as well as other duties specified from time to time by the BOD.
- Working with AICC Canada Board of Directors to represent the membership in the media and across all areas of public relations.
- Implementing and reviewing the strategy and policies of AICC Canada, as developed by the various boards and committees and approved by the Executive Committee.
- Reviewing corporate governance to ensure the structure of the organization is fit for current and future needs.
- Maintain and uphold ByLaws and applicable AntiTrust laws that pertain to the association.
- Representing, engaging with and increasing the membership of the Association, building a good understanding of the needs and concerns of each grade of member and attending regional meetings and social functions of the AICC Canada membership.
- Working to a series of agreed key performance indicators relating to areas such as membership, financial performance, communication objectives and event results.
- Review of current team structure and administrative challenges in light of changing demands upon the organization.
- Regular updating and maintenance of the website and applicable social media channels. Advance the communication efforts of the Board by developing a social media strategy and distributing content as required.
- Providing guidance and support to the Treasurer in ensuring the finances of AICC Canada are run on a sound commercial basis, keeping the long-term financial security of AICC Canada in mind.
- Maximizing the value and benefits of membership through annual programming, professional development activities and other opportunities.
- Prepare marketing materials to assist with prospecting of new members.
- Liaison with and support the International body of AICC while maintaining the best interests of AICC Canada.

While not essential for the performance of the role, the following would be beneficial:
- Previous employment with trade association or other membership body
- Degree-educated or higher
- Previous governance role
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work from home and have a means of transportation to attend our meetings.
This is a contract position and is subject to performance review upon renewal.
