Sunday Brunch Volunteer (Sherbourne THP)

Fife House is an innovative, client-focused provider of secure and supportive affordable housing and services for People Living with HIV/AIDS in the greater Toronto Area.  Fife House currently has approximately 110 staff working across 6 location.

Fife House is currently looking for volunteers who have an interest in providing a Sunday Brunch support at our Sherbourne Transitional Housing location. 

Reports to: 
The Sunday Brunch volunteer will report directly to the Program Manager of our THP Program and will be provided support by our Volunteer Lead. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist morning staff in preparing a brunch for 11 clients
  2. Assist with the distribution of meal to clients
  3. Ensure that the kitchen area is kept clean
  4. Assist with any other duties related to the meal assigned by the Program Manager
  5. Discard Garbage/Recycling from meal

Qualifications:

  1. A clear understanding of Boundaries and the importance of Client confidentiality
  2. Has a good understanding of food preparation and good cooking skills
  3. Has a valid Food Handler’s Certificate completed before starting as a Volunteer
  4. Some personal, volunteer or professional experience related to HIV/AIDS preferred
  5. Volunteers must have a Police Record Check completed before starting as a Volunteer

Commitment:
Each Sunday from 9am to 12:00 noon
