Hope Story helps vulnerable children around the world access education, health, and Christian discipleship. Working in league with local, indigenous churches, our work spans South America, Africa, the Middle East and – most recently – Canada.

In this, our 25th year, we stand at an important moment in our story. We are positioned to serve many more children and youth – but only if we can share our unique approach with a growing number of Canadians.  

You are a storyteller at heart, able to inspire new and existing donors with Hope Story’s mission. You are also a gifted administrator – able to plan and execute an annual communications strategy, child sponsorship program, and periodic special events.

Based in Cambridge, Ontario, this is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director. Preferred start date is January 15, 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a pipeline of compelling stories that inspire prayer and financial giving.
  • Coordinate a multichannel donor cultivation and fundraising strategy (website, social media, email marketing, snail mail).
  • Lead a team of contract marketing and design professionals, assisting in the development of digital, video, and print content.
  • Administer sponsorship program for monthly donors.
  • Plan and coordinate Hope Story events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in communications/journalism/public relations/marketing preferred.
  • Demonstrated storytelling experience.
  • Success as a communications strategist (charity/non-profit sector preferred).
  • Impeccable organization and attention to detail.
  • Able to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.

REMUNERATION

  • Commensurate with experience.
