Program: M2D Intergenerational Mentoring Program
M2D Intergeneration mentorship program is designed to offer guidance and empower younger women and newcomers to rise in their personal, professional or entrepreneurial endeavors. There is a champion in each woman in need of support. This project will offer the support and guidance from professionals (industry experts) and life-experienced women willing to help younger/less experienced women and newcomers rise above all odds, represent their respective communities, and become fully functional and capable in society.
The project will run for 10 weeks starting January 15, 2024, and it will match Mothers (seasoned professionals/industry experts in Canada) with Daughters (in need of personal, professional and business guidance and endorsement). The constant coordination, guidance and follow-up will help women and newcomers strategize their path and envision their approach to the social and professional life in Canada. This program aims to support the social integration and empowerment of women and newcomers through peer support and peer networks. The peer support group will strengthen the mental and psychological well-being of each other by counseling and stress management through conversation and dialogues.
