The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is a registered charity and has been operating for 150 years. The Society provides care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need in communities across Ontario; we value all animals and advocate to treat them with respect and kindness. We strive to keep pets and families together and do so through a variety of community support services.

Opportunity
Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Manager of Annual Giving to lead planning, strategy, and oversight of our annual giving programs. This role has a phenomenal impact on our organization by raising 90% of the annual giving program revenue. This role focuses on raising funds through traditional channels of direct mail and tele-fundraising and ensures an integrated multi-channel approach for all donor campaigns. This role also supports the cultivation and stewardship of prospective future donors and existing donors.

Status: Full-time, Permanent. Planned start date of January 2, 2024.

Location: This role is based out of our Provincial Office location in Stouffville and is eligible to participate in our flexible work policy and program which provides the opportunity to work primarily remotely.

How Your Role Contributes to our Team:

  • Creating campaign briefs for all direct mail campaigns based on market research and analysis of prior year campaign results
  • Supporting the growth of our Monthly Giving program through the integration of conversion strategies for monthly donors to direct mail and tele-fundraising
  • Planning of direct marketing strategies that aim to prospect, cultivate, and confirm Legacy Giving leads and donors
  • Developing multi-channel conversion and stewardship tactics to engage our community of supporters including adopters, donors, and service clients
  • Managing all aspects of the direct mail fundraising budget, including projections, calendarization d expense approvals
  • Collecting and collaborating on animal stories to leverage when reporting back to donors (yes, this means looking at and reading about adorable pups and purrs!)
  • Supervising and directing the work of our Annual Giving Coordinator.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in non-profit direct response fundraising, on either charity or agency side
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Office
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • University/College degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
