Fife House is currently looking for volunteers to support the fund raising efforts of Fife House by providing practical assistance at fund raising events.The volunteer is expected to travel between our head office location and any of our other location by walking or transit. Transportation tickets can be provided if needed.

Description

Fife House is an innovative, client-focused provider of secure and supportive affordable housing and services for People Living with HIV/AIDS in the greater Toronto Area.  Fife House currently has approximately 110 staff working across 6 location.

Fife House understands that historically marginalized groups in our communities often encounter barriers to full access and participation.  We, therefore, commit to actively dismantling all forms of racism and systemic oppression with GIPA/MIPA at the forefront.  As a settler agency, Fife House stands in solidarity with Indigenous and Black Peoples across Turtle Island and recognizes the role we have in the work of reconciliation and healing. 

Fife House is currently looking for volunteers to support the fund raising efforts of Fife House by providing practical assistance at fund raising events.
 The volunteer is expected to travel between our head office location and any of our other location by walking or transit.  Transportation tickets can be provided if needed.

Reports to: 
The Events volunteer will report directly to our Senior Manager of Development and Communication and will be provided assistance from the Volunteer Lead. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains any Fife House inventories at an event (if required);
  2. Greets guests, distributes information and answers questions about Fife House (as directed);
  3. Assists with set up and break down of event sites (if required).

Qualifications:

  1. Has a clear understanding of agency policies, including Boundaries and Confidentiality;
  2. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  3. Is comfortable working with large groups of people;
  4. Has experience working with cash (if required, a current PRC must be on file).

Commitment:
Location may vary depending upon the event.  There is no minimum time commitment for Event Volunteers.
