Client Advocate & Support Worker

St. Joe’s Women’s Centre is a day program and registered charity, that is dedicated to the needs of low income/homeless women, those that identify as women, and their children, in a supportive and safe environment. Social and educational programs are offered to promote empowerment, autonomy, and dignity in a non-judgmental atmosphere. In order to better meet the needs of the population we serve each day, we are looking to add Part-time Client Advocate & Support Worker to our team!

Crisis and Support Line Volunteer

Support survivors of sexual violence on a 24/7 crisis and support line and chat service by providing crisis de-escalation techniques, breathing exercises, grounding practices. All volunteers are required to have 6 weeks of training.

Support Group Co-Facilitator

In this role, the Facilitator leads Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada’s virtual support group meetings for the community in Ottawa.

Gender-Based Violence Caseworker providing wrap around case management support to clients in residential, second-stage housing setting.

Weekend Support Worker – E2 Shift

Sojourn House provides Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing services to newly arrived refugees coming from all parts of the world. Hoarding Support Volunteer (Mental Health)

Purpose: Help to increase overall health and well-being and improve quality of life of our clients in the Volunteer Hoarding Support Program. The program is designed to help vulnerable, isolated individuals with hoarding tendencies de-clutter, sort and organize their homes. Developed from a harm reduction approach, we provide clients with opportunities that help improve their social, physical, mental and emotional health.

Crisis Worker – Engaging with Indigenous Community

YFS is looking for a Crisis Worker for the newly funded for the Toronto Community Crisis Services – Northwest (TCCS). This service provides 24/7 support to people experiencing a mental health and/or addiction crisis in northwest Toronto. This pilot program is part of a City of Toronto police reform initiative that is evaluating the effectiveness and impact of non-police-led responses to people experiencing non-emergency crises.

Community Response Volunteer/IDR Mediation

We are actively seeking individuals with unwavering dedication and deep compassion to join our team as Community Response Volunteers. In this pivotal role, volunteers will provide essential mediation support to families in need.

What’s Up Walk-In Counsellor

This position is responsible for providing brief counselling for individuals and families. It also may involve providing some case management, psycho-education, advocacy, and consultation to support youth and their families or caregivers presenting with mental health, emotional or behavioural issues. YouthLink serves youth ages 12-24 and their families through our What’s Up Walk-In Clinic and other brief services. This may include carrying a small brief therapy client caseload.
