Transitional Homes are volunteer households where at least one person has Type 1 Diabetes and is willing to bring home an adult dog nearing the completion of training for approximately 7-14 days. This is a vital step in the training process to test the in- training Diabetes Alert Dog Guides’ (DAD) ability to alert to live lows in a home environment. Dogs are fully trained and have completed extensive obedience training. This is a rare opportunity for volunteers to assist directly in the process

The Canadian Mental Health Association – Halton Region Branch (CMHA-HRB) is seeking a Crisis Response Worker that will work on our nights shift. ( hours between 8 PM- 8 AM) This role will initially work Monday-Friday (8:30-4:30 PM) till November 30, 2023 and then will switch over to a rotational 7-day schedule (either 10 hour or 12-hour shifts) Monday- Sunday. The Crisis Response Worker will respond to needs of individuals calling into our crisis line (988 or COAST).
