Community Prevention Workers provide culturally grounded STBBI & harm reduction education, one-to-one service navigation supports, access to harm reduction supplies and STBBI testing, run drop-in programming and facilitate cultural workshops and educational groups for community.We are currently hiring for two full-time permanent Community Prevention Worker positions, one is located in Sault Ste. Marie, ON and the other is located in Sudbury, ON.
The Social Engagement and Activity position is a great place for volunteers to engage with the community directly, build relationships and learn about the community while working with a vulnerable population. The volunteer will be able to develop their skills working as part of a team and see the impact of their actions immediately.
The Meal Service Volunteer shift is a great place for volunteers to engage with residents directly, build relationships and learn about the community while working with a vulnerable population. The goal of the Meal Service Volunteer is to ensure that all residents have access to meals 3 times a day and can do so in a supportive environment.
