Looking for volunteer tutors for our adult literacy programs.
Dreams from Growing Children is an Indigenous parenting program focused on healthy boundaries and healthy relationships. The selected facilitator will join the Giiwedin Anang team, playing a pivotal role in the program’s success. This individual will oversee the daily operations, facilitating 40 sessions both at our Bellwoods Ave location and within the broader community within Toronto and Peel.
Reporting to the Curriculum Development Manager, the Curriculum Development Associate’s primary responsibility will be supporting the upgrading of the current programming curriculum, and the development of education programs and project curriculum. He/she will work closely with the Curriculum Development Manager and the Curriculum team to create detailed, interactive, and developmentally appropriate water-focused lessons for program delivery.
Orientation Facilitators play an integral role in our volunteer onboarding processes. Orientation Facilitators are responsible for presenting the Shelter Movers’ Trauma-Informed Care Orientation session to new volunteers being onboarded.
The Youth Gambling Awareness Program is an education and prevention initiative designed to raise awareness regarding youth problem gambling. It is a provincial program funded by the Ministry of Health and led by the YMCA of Greater Toronto, Lead Site, in collaboration with other YMCAs across Ontario. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteer educators to join the Fraser River Discovery Centre (FRDC)! We offer education programs to school groups, from grades K to 12. You’ll engage with learners of all ages and help inspire stewards of the river through our interactive programs. You’ll also be part of the education team, who work together to evaluate programs, adjust in response to feedback, and develop new programs that align with the BC curriculum.
