Welcome Host Volunteer Opportunity

As a Welcome Host you will serve as the ‘face up front” that makes that all important firstimpression on youth. You will be challenged to use your positive interpersonal skills to help newyouth register and feel comfortable coming in, as well as being that person they love to see firstwhen they come back. Your personality will make a huge impression on our youth.

Prayer Coordinator Volunteer Opportunity

The Prayer Coordinator is the most important role. It provides you with the opportunity to connect with and listen to the needs of our staff, but most importantly, it allows you to engage with and support at-risk youth by offering prayers and sharing Jesus to see lives transformed. Your prayers make a profound difference in their journey with God, allowing you to share your own spiritual path, the gospel, and God’s love in a safe, enjoyable setting. Ideally, you’ll also join a weekly drop-in.

Sports Facilitator Volunteer Opportunity

As the Sports Facilitator, you will using your love for physical activities and utilize that to engage youth in experiences that will help them to be challenged and grow as individuals and as peers. You can be creative in providing these opportunities, learn to lead groups of youth, and develop relationships with the students you engage.

Food Coordinator Volunteer Opportunity

This role will provide you with the exciting opportunity to take your passions of being creative and serving in the kitchen and use them to help meet the physical needs of at-risk youth. For many of our youth, the meal provided here is their first meal of the day. You will make a difference in their lives.

Activity Facilitator Volunteer Opportunity

As an Activity Facilitator, you will have the opportunity to use your leadership skills, infectious enthusiasm, and creativity to provide unique experiences for youth to participate in; activities that will help them be challenged – physically, mentally, emotionally, or socially. And have a whole lot of fun doing it! Youth will love to engage and grow in the experiences you will provide.

Child and Youth Care Practitioner

Works closely with the Child and Youth Worker and is part of a multi-disciplinary team that addresses and supports issues related to youth ages 12-17, their family and community.

Child and Youth Worker – Residential Relief

Reporting to the Operational Supervisor, Residential and Day Treatment, the Residential Child and Youth Worker (CYW) works as part of an interdisciplinary team delivering direct services to clients with mental health needs. The Residential CYW is responsible for providing a safe and therapeutic environment in which individual client goals are actualized. All Kinark employees share the responsibility of workplace health and safety and the prevention of workplace hazards.

Care Coordinator – Service Navigation

Service Navigators provide information about the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and help connect families to service providers and resources available in their local communities. This will include programs, services, and resources that families can access, as well as other services and supports available locally.
