Habitat for Humanity GTA is a local organization with a global vision of a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. We mobilize communities to help working families build strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable homeownership. With the help of volunteers, donors, and community partners we provide a solid foundation for better, healthier lives for families in the GTA. Since 1988, Habitat GTA has built 25 new communities, providing a hand up to hundreds of families so parents and children can have a safe, decent and affordable place to call home. Volunteer Role: Habitat ReStore Volunteer
In support of our homebuilding activity, we operate retail home improvement stores call Habitat ReStore. Our 10 locations sell new and used donated home furnishings, appliance and renovation materials to the public at a fraction of the original price. Revenue generated through ReStore sales help cover the cost to build homes for future Habitat homeowners.

Habitat for Humanity GTA is greater Toronto’s most recognized provider and advocate of solutions that tackle our region’s housing crisis. Our mission is to create a world where everyone has a safe, quality place to live. We focus on creative solutions to address the affordable housing crisis in Toronto, Brampton, We are a land developer, a home builder, a fundraiser, and a mortgage holder. We are expanding and reaching out to community members to Volunteer their time with us in our Warehouse .
