Senior Shelter Manager

We’re currently searching for a Senior Shelter Manager to look after two of our core programs. This is a challenging role in which you’ll oversee our high-barrier services, ensuring they serve the needs of the community and align with our vision and strategy. You’ll motivate, inspire and engage your team to deliver high quality service to our clients and the community.

Residential Support Worker (F/T, P/T or Relief)

As a Residential Support Worker at St Mary’s Home, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support to residents, ensuring their successful integration into parenting programs and fostering positive parent-infant interactions. From completing admission paperwork to organizing engaging programs, your commitment to safety, support, and community collaboration will contribute to the well-being of both residents and their infants in our dynamic residential setting.

Community Shelter Worker

As a Community Shelter Worker, you would aid clients in their housing by assessing and supporting their needs, and adhering to the mission statement, policies, and procedures of Homes First Society.

Housing Access Worker – Rent Bank

The successful candidate will have the ability to nurture strong and trusting relationships and help Member tenants to search for, and successfully secure, appropriate and affordable housing, build essential life skills, maintain long-term successful tenancy, and achieve an improved quality of life on their terms.

Community Support Worker

Provides support within our residential setting and in the Community with individuals living independently. Will perform a continuum of functions, including developing support plans with clients, client, and systems advocacy, symptom management, life skills teaching, supportive counseling, family support, and crisis support.

Advance Practice and Training Coordinator

Reporting to the Executive Program Director, the Advanced Practice Coordinator will promote a high quality of member and tenant care through coaching, training and modelling for our staff. The Advanced Practice Coordinator supports professional practice and clinical care excellence by designing and implementing educational programs and clinical processes that enable staff to deliver safe, excellent member-centred care.

2SLGBTQIA+ Residential Housing Worker (Overnight Shift)

he RHW is responsible for the facilitation of life-skills workshops, responding to escalating situations when needed, applying and verbal de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques in defusing potentially volatile situations. The RHW will connect youth to support and resources to end homelessness by offering rental subsidies, emotional support, system navigation, coaching, and crisis support. This role will support youth to identify, activate, and enhance natural support in their lives.
