Crisis Worker – Engaging with Indigenous Community

YFS is looking for a Crisis Worker for the newly funded for the Toronto Community Crisis Services – Northwest (TCCS). This service provides 24/7 support to people experiencing a mental health and/or addiction crisis in northwest Toronto. This pilot program is part of a City of Toronto police reform initiative that is evaluating the effectiveness and impact of non-police-led responses to people experiencing non-emergency crises.

Legal Counsellor/Advocate – South Location

We are looking for 1 Legal Counsellor/Advocate to join our team and provide supports based on clients’ needs including legal supports, accompaniments to court and advocacy, access, information and referral to services and resources, risk assessment and safety planning, counselling, and emotional support.

Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating programs to address the fine motor, perceptual motor, sensory, adaptive, postural, and self-care skills of children with disabilities and their families in order to optimize development.

Clinical Manager

This role will provide day-to-day supervision, mentorship, and performance enhancement to Clinical Counsellors and our Drop-In staff, ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, customer service excellence, and continuous learning, and program planning. The manager will encourage innovation, evaluating performance and leading staff development through motivation and training, creating a safe and supportive environment for all participants and staff

Black 2SLGBTQIA+ Clinical Counsellor

Reporting to the Clinical Program Manager, the Clinical Counsellor will provide single session and short-term counselling, along with utilizing ongoing counselling skills to youth, using evidence-based practices aligned with needs identified at the time of intake and assessment to Friends of Ruby. The counsellor will also work with Drop-in participants and Friends of Ruby’s Home resident.

Physical Therapist

The school-based Physical Therapist provides services that help students to achieve their highest possible level of independent functioning within the school, home, and community.  These services include screening, assessment, consultation, program planning, treatment, administration, education, and research. The therapist provides services that promote and improve the musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and perceptual motor skills of school-aged children/youth.
