This role will provide extensive support through outreach, engagement and animation to ensure that The 519 and Barbara Hall Park are welcoming and inviting for all.

Crisis Intervention Worker, full-time, permanent Gerstein on Bloor Short-term Residential Crisis Bed Program

Immediately: Gerstein Crisis Centre is looking to hire Community Crisis Intervention Workers available for day, evening and nightshifts

Eviction Prevention in the Community (EPIC) Worker

The EPIC worker provides assessments, referrals, creates a client centered action plan and provides other supports as needed. In consultation with the EPIC team, the EPIC worker will liaise with landlords, coordinate mediation and conflict resolution as appropriate. If an eviction is prevented, the EPIC worker will provide short-term housing stabilization supports.

Crisis Worker – Engaging with Indigenous Community

YFS is looking for a Crisis Worker for the newly funded for the Toronto Community Crisis Services – Northwest (TCCS). This service provides 24/7 support to people experiencing a mental health and/or addiction crisis in northwest Toronto. This pilot program is part of a City of Toronto police reform initiative that is evaluating the effectiveness and impact of non-police-led responses to people experiencing non-emergency crises.

Supervised Access Worker

The Supervised Access Worker will be a member of the Giiwedin Anang team. The incumbent facilitates the daily operation of the program by coordinating parenting visits and monitoring interactions between children and parents during supervised access hours. They will write reports for the court when necessary. The incumbent will arrange cultural programming with assistance from the Giiwedin Anang Community Council.

Community Prevention Worker – Toronto

Community Prevention Workers provide culturally grounded STBBI & harm reduction education, one-to-one service navigation supports, access to harm reduction supplies and STBBI testing, run drop-in programming and facilitate cultural workshops and educational groups for community. Community Prevention Workers report to the Team Lead with the following areas of responsibilities: Harm Reduction, Community, and Education Programs and Services; Testing, Treatment & Linkage to Care.

2SLGBTQIA+ Residential Housing Worker (Overnight Shift)

he RHW is responsible for the facilitation of life-skills workshops, responding to escalating situations when needed, applying and verbal de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques in defusing potentially volatile situations. The RHW will connect youth to support and resources to end homelessness by offering rental subsidies, emotional support, system navigation, coaching, and crisis support. This role will support youth to identify, activate, and enhance natural support in their lives.

2SLGBTQIA+ Support Worker

The SW is responsible for the facilitation of life-skills workshops, and responding to escalating situations when needed, applying verbal de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques in defusing potentially volatile situations.

2SLGBTQIA+ Housing Manager (Interim)

Reporting to the Director of Transitional Housing, the Housing Manager will supervise staff and services at the House. This role will provide day-to-day supervision, mentoring and performance management to housing staff, ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and organizational performance, customer service excellence, and continuous learning, while encouraging innovation, evaluating performance and leading staff development through motivation and training.
