Cyber risk comes in many different forms, and while understanding how to protect your organization and your community can be overwhelming, it is vital that nonprofit organizations recognize the risk and are sufficiently prepared to protect against these risks and events. This webinar covers the cyber landscape, increasing cyber risk, preventative actions, and insurance options to help protect your organizations. There are a lot of things an organization can do to protect themselves from cyber security incidents, and while insurance is typically a last resort when it comes to dealing with cyber risks, it is necessary to help mitigate the risks.

About the presenters
Ian Fraser
Ian Fraser is the AVP, Tech/Cyber & Professional Lines at Sovereign Insurance. As a seasoned leader with over 20 years of Professional Lines/Technology insurance industry experience, Ian offers a breadth of knowledge and expertise. He works closely with leaders across the country to support Sovereign’s business partners in delivering comprehensive risk solutions to their clients. Ian has worked extensively on developing Commercial strategies for Cyber and Professional Lines for various insurers, and focuses strongly on product, pricing, and customer requirements. He regularly speaks on technical insurance panels and is recognized amongst his peers as a thought leader in the areas of Cyber, Professional Liability, and Management Liability.
In addition to his responsibilities at Sovereign, Ian also chairs The Cooperators’ (Sovereign’s parent company) Cyber Management Office Steering Committee, which upholds the mandate to shape cyber insurance strategy across the enterprise group of companies. Throughout his career, Ian held various senior roles within the insurance industry. Prior to joining Sovereign in 2018, he was responsible for the strategic portfolio management of all Casualty lines of business (SME, Mid-Market, GSL-Specialty) at RSA, as the AVP, Third Party Lines – Commercial Insurance. Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, is a RPLU designate of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, and is a certificate holder of University of Toronto – Cyber Security Boot Camp program.
Sharon Kovacic
Sharon Kovacic joined Co–operators in 2011 after spending over 10 years in the non-profit sector working for the United Way as Campaign Manager and finishing her career in the non-profit sector with The Children’s Wish Foundation (now Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada) as the Director of Wish Granting. Sharon Joined Co-operators to specialize in Insurance for the non-profit sector. With her combined experience and knowledge of the non-profit sector and insurance, Sharon has found herself in a very unique position of truly understanding the needs of the non-profit sector and is able to provide the best advice and protection to the non-profit sector.
